Sharing in August

Sharing a few projects in July and August.

This first post is just the quilt top. Will be quilting this soon. I always loved the Dream Big Dahlia panels, but took my time jumping in. I saw this layout on a quilting FB post and was intrigued. Every time I make a quilt the question is "who is this quilt for". Well this quilt is for me. The quilt making technique was to purchase 4 dahlia panels and cut each panel into four equals parts. Then you rearrange them. Number each cut part or you may end up with a problem. I labeled each piece but still was a challenge to put this puzzle together. Will post the final quilt when I finish quilting it.

This next quilt is a wedding quilt for my nephew and his new bride. This quilt pattern is from Missouri Star Quilt Company--Easy Carpenter Star quilt measuring 83" by 83".

The next quilt is a baby quilt for a sweet church friend. Ronnie James Davis was born last week weighing 8 pounds 3 oz. What a blessing to have another sweet baby in our church.

Oh, how I have loved scrappy applique quilts. This was my first attempt. This went to my granddaughter who wanted to hang in her dorm room. She is an artist and this was a good fit for her.
